MODERN DAY LIBERALS HAVE REDUCED THEIR TALKING POINTS TO A SINGLE BASIC STAPLE. THEIR ‘ARGUMENT’ IS ALWAYS THE SAME: ‘YOU’RE RACIST’ … YEAH THAT’S ABOUT IT, IF YOU DISAGREE WITH A TOTALITARIAN STATE MAKING ALL THE DECISIONS AND DESTROYING THE MORAL FABRIC OF OUR SOCIETY, YOU ARE RACIST.
THE FEDERALIST PAPERS REPORTS: President Donald Trump is about to sign an executive order that will give leftists fits.
It doesn’t fit the narrative that Trump is a racist bigot, so they hate that Trump will start allowing officials from historically black colleges and universities (called HBCUs) to serve as Trump’s official advisors on his urban agenda and increase the private sector’s role in HBCUs.
The executive order comes one day after Vice President Mike Pence and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos held a “listening session” with representatives from dozens of HBCUs.
“Our administration, at the president’s direction, is working to find new ways to expand your impact so that more students, especially in the underserved communities in this country, have the chance at a quality education,” Pence said at the outset of the meeting on Monday, The Washington Examiner is reporting. “We want to partner with you. We want to partner with you to help train the students of today to face the challenges and to lead in America tomorrow.”
On Monday, Trump personally met with some of the HBCU executives and as one of her first acts as education secretary, DeVos visited Howard University, one of the most prestigious black colleges in the country.
The executive order will allow the HBCU’s to raise more money through public-private partnerships than currently allowed.
“You deserve far more credit than you get, and know that beginning today, this administration is committed to making sure that our historically black colleges and universities get the credit and the attention they deserve,” Pence said. “Get ready for a great and energetic partnership in the days ahead.”
“He has a passion for expanding opportunities and the hopes and dreams of every American, including those in the African American community who are not yet experiencing the full range of benefits of the American Dream,” the vice president said.
“We’re also going to be working on economic development, not only increasing educational opportunities but doing all we can to revitalize communities across this country — large and small — and create opportunities.”
